In a world where environmental concerns are at the forefront of every industry, we recognise the need for focus and dedication. Yes, you may know us for providing top-notch office solutions. But that’s not enough. We do so with a resolute dedication to a cleaner, greener planet.

In this blog, we share more about sustainability story. Through actively promoting our work, in tandem with our certification partner Planet Mark, we hope to inspire and drive further positive change. If we can do it, so can your business.

Let’s lead the charge towards a more environmentally responsible future, together.

Our Sustainability Story

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Working with Planet Mark has enabled us to confidently measure sustainability outputs across our business. This, in turn, provides clarity on where and how to prioritise reductions for significant change.

Adam Thompson, Total Office Director, was recently interviewed for a film produced by Planet Mark. As a proud Planet Mark member, we both seek to champion responsible business practices. In the interview, viewers gain insight into the proactive steps we’ve taken to align our operations with our sustainability goals; and the role that Planet Mark plays in supporting these efforts.

In fact, we recently achieved our Year 2 Certification from Planet Mark. This highlights our ongoing commitment to measuring sustainability across our business.

Driving Sustainability Through Innovation

As well as reducing our own outputs, we are happy to share our knowledge and sustainability journey. In turn, we offer various customer schemes to help you become a more sustainable business too.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the key aspects that set us apart:

1 Tailpipe Emissions

Tailpipe emissions are a major contributor to air pollution and climate change. As many of our customers are based in London, we are determined to help improve air quality for the people who live and work in the city. All our delivery vehicles are Euro 6 compliant for London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone.

2 Electrifying the Fleet

As part of our decarbonisation strategy, we have introduced electric and hybrid vehicles into our London delivery fleet. Our roadmap for replacing diesel vans with electric or petrol hybrids by 2025, transitioning to fully electric vehicles once the required charging infrastructure is sufficiently advanced.

3 Consolidation Benefits

We offer customers a true consolidated solution for office products and services. By optimising processes, you can maximise efficiency while reducing emissions and waste. So, streamlining operations minimises your impact on the environment.

4 Localised Goods Supply

Supplying goods within the same building or close vicinity significantly reduces transportation-related emissions. Total Office’s commitment to sourcing products locally whenever possible demonstrates our dedication to minimising our (and your!) logistical carbon footprint.

5 Flexible Service Delivery

We work with many City-based clients and offer an innovative approach to sustainable solutions. By integrating our service with existing eco-friendly practices, we are flexible and agile enough to support your sustainability practices.

The Path to Net Zero

Achieving net-zero emissions is a shared global goal, and Total Office is committed. With a focus on operating within a monitored and measured environment, we can ensure that our efforts are systematic and effective. We’re working towards reducing our 2023 carbon emissions by 5%.

As you can see, it’s important to us that our initiatives extend beyond our own operations. By sharing our journey, we want to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices and work towards a cleaner, greener future.
