New Barcodes for Special Delivery Guaranteed and Signed For
If you use Special Delivery Guaranteed and Royal Mail Signed For, currently you need to stick separate, coloured labels to your items after paying postage through your franking machines. This is set to change.
From 1st November 2022, Royal Mail are replacing the adhesive sticker with a new, wider franking machine mark which will need to appear on the franked mail piece.
Royal Mail Franking Machine Decertification
From 1st January 2023, Royal Mail will no longer accept mail from standard franking machines. This is known as decertification.
